Originally apprenticed at Sails & Canvas with Chris Scanes in the mid-1980s, and being taught by one of the last CPO Sailmakers in the Royal Navy, Mac has some 15 years cover-making experience, and has worked on everything from little tail bags to fitting out Naval vessels with covers.

Chris needs no introduction to the sailing community in the Westcountry, having clocked up at least 50 years experience in a lifetime of sailmaking. He has vast experience gained from many years working at several of the best sail lofts in the country, and spent 25 years running his own - Sails & Canvas at Topsham.
